The Gulf Educational Supplies Show will focus on the UAE’s leadership in developing the educational environment and is the first of its kind in the Middle East with a conference component that will discuss the most important issues in the education sector.
The Gulf Educational Supplies Show is affiliated to the Ministry of Education and its major objectives include:
• Delivering new curricula with the latest evaluation standards, which will help in finding a new educational environment where the student is at the core of the education process.
• Establishing an infrastructure based on the latest techniques in all stages of education and using these techniques in a way that helps schools and institutes. This will assist teachers in expanding their experience and students in improving their performance. The Ministry of Education has set indicators for each of its objectives. For example, in relation to the education sector, the ministry has launched the ‘Future Schools’ initiative, which has been implemented in more than 50 schools. Under this, teachers are not the only major source for information, however, they have to play a number of important roles to facilitate the educational process using a variety of tools and methodologies. They also have to encourage students to research and find relevant information.
And we would like to emphasise that educational supplies and methods, including libraries and research centres, will play a powerful role in educating students and encouraging them to adopt a self-teaching style in a way that suits our culture and heritage.
