Gess and gulf education forum go annual

GESS and Gulf Education Forum arrived on the Gulf’s B2B events scene last month with the show attracting some 250 exhibitors from 15 countries, including large national pavilions from the UK and Germany. More than 4,000 education professionals from 25 countries throughout the Middle East and North Africa visited as did ministerial delegations from Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Oman.

GESS 2008 and Global Education Forum Now Open!

GESS 2008 is now officially open, Leading education officials from throughout the Middle East are in Dubai this week to attend The Global Education Forum which is expected to assist in setting a new education agenda for the region.

Ministry and NGO officials from Bahrain, Yemen, Oman, Qatar and Saudi Arabia will be at the Gulf Education Forum, which runs at the Madinat Arena from January 22-24. The forum will examine key issues impacting the education industry in the region.

736 students get UOWD degrees
University holds two ceremonies for undergraduate and postgraduate students

DUBAI-With loud cheers, more than 736 students flung their caps into the air after receiving their degrees from the University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD) in two ceremonies.

Hundreds of guests, including Minister for Education Dr Hanif Minister for Education Dr Hanif Hassan, Australian Ambassador to the UAE Jeremy Bruer, and the students’ family and friends, attended the morning’s undergraduation ceremony and the evening’s postgraduation ceremony at Jumeirah Beach Hotel.
